By Simon Knabl, Golf Pro, Geschäftsführer und Vizepräsident Golfpark Mieminger Plateau: »30 years of pure golf and nature!«
My love of golf was instilled in me by my father, who realised his vision of building a golf course on the Mieminger Plateau 30 years ago. After training as a PGA golf professional and studying economics, I worked on international golf projects at KPMG Golf for several years, before taking over the management of the golf course from my father in 2015.
Our golf park on the Mieminger Plateau consists of an 18-hole championship course (par 73), a 9-hole park course and an excellent training area with a Trackman range. It is surrounded by the impressive Mieminger mountain range and nestled in a spacious pine forest. By the time you stop for refreshments at the Stöttlalm halfway house, you will have forgotten the stresses of everyday life, and after your round, you can treat yourself to regional delicacies in the Greenvieh club restaurant.
This year, we are celebrating our 30th anniversary as a club. I see our inclusion in the Leading Golf Courses as recognition of what we have achieved so far, but also as an incentive to continue developing our golf course in a visionary manner. During the application phase for the Leading Golf Courses, we demonstrated our high standards of course maintenance. Regular anonymous tests provide valuable feedback from the perspective of golfers.
With sporty greetings!
