Andrea Hoch-Sarnthein, President GC Seefeld-Wildmoos: »Alpine Golf Jewel«

Our site is located at around 1,300 meters in the Wildmoos nature reserve on the sunny high plateau of the Olympiaregion Seefeld and is unique not only because of its natural location. When we opened in 1969, we were the second 18-hole course in Austria and the first in Tyrol. When the quality brand »The Leading Golf Courses« was founded thirty years later, we were there from the start.

I have been the president of our golf club for four years and recently became also the manager, because I practically live on the golf course. To be almost always present for the members and guests and to offer the best possible service personally and warmly with my team is – as well as the appropriate maintenance of the course – our highest credo.

In order to meet the high demands of a leading golf course, this year we have brought headgreenkeeper Alexander Höfinger, one of the most renowned experts in this field, into the team. With him, the standards of care for the venerable square are gradually being transformed into modern greenkeeping – purely organic and environmentally friendly.

Because a »golf jewel«, which we have always called ourselves, has to shine in every sense and earn the award of Leading Golf Course anew every day.
