Xenia Glatz, Manager Colony Club Gutenhof: »More than just golf«

Our President, Hans Christian Höfer, was one of the main initiators of the »Leading Golf Courses« and played a key role in the development of this premium brand. Based on comparable brands such as »Leading Hotels«, the aim was to set benchmarks against which golf clubs can measure themselves and develop further.

From the basic idea - striving for the highest quality in all matters relating to golf - a questionnaire was created with over 120 criteria, ranging from the reception and the infrastructure to every detail on the course up to the restaurant. In order to always keep up with the times, the criteria are constantly being expanded and adjusted - most recently to include social media appearances or the reflectors on the flagpoles.

The creed of the Colony Club Gutenhof reflects the philosophy of the »Leading Golf Courses«: It's about more than just pleasant hours on the golf course. And with the abundance of facilities - which are not a matter of course in a golf club - a round of golf turns into a vacation from everyday life: wellness and spa with massage, fitness room, swimming biotope, sauna and outdoor pool with a large lawn, children's house with playground and even dog ​​kennels in the shadow - everything is considered here, all year round.
