By Nina Gstatter, Clubmanager at the Golf- & Landclub Achensee: »For the love of sport«
I come from a real golfing family in southern Bavaria: my brother and my uncle are golf pros, my mother used to work in the club office, and I’ve been playing golf myself for 26 years. After many years in club management in Bavaria, I joined the Achensee this year as the new club manager – partly out of a love for golf, for the lake and for this special place.
What has captivated me about the Achensee Golf Club right from the start is its stunning location: the course begins right in the heart of Pertisau, lies at an altitude of around 1,000 metres on the edge of the Karwendel Nature Park, and offers magnificent views of Lake Achensee and the mountains. Added to this are the trees, the tranquillity, the excellent condition of the course and the attention to detail that you can sense everywhere here. For me, the golf course is already a beautiful gem. My predecessor did a tremendous amount of groundwork, and I simply want to polish it up a little here and there. The young players are also particularly important to me, because in a club like this, something quite special emerges when young players discover the course for themselves.
Membership of Leading Golf Courses is important to us, as the anonymous assessments help us to remain vigilant and avoid becoming complacent. The collaboration with the other member clubs is a valuable tool for partnership-building.
With sporty greetings!
